Desktop computers are still the workhorses of the PC world. Despite the advances in notebook/laptop technology, they still don't have the power and capacity to compete with desktop models (and even when they come close, the desktops are always much less expensive). Every year the biggest makers - such as Dell, HP, Compaq, Acer, IBM and Lenovo - bring us the latest technology at prices that break new ground in "bang for your buck". Settle for slightly less than "state-of-the-art" for your next PC purchase and you're almost certain to be paying less than you did for your last PC.
