Laptop and Notebook Computers
Every year we get closer to the day when all personal computers will be portable "notebook" or "laptop" models. Recently there's been a big improvement in the cost of LCD monitors so that portable computer prices have dropped significantly. And the ability to pack more and more disk storage into smaller packages also improves the usefulness of laptop PCs. At this point the only thing holding back portable computer technology from matching desktops is the amount of heat generated by the most powerful PC processors - and the need for cooling inside the box. We have to believe it's just a matter of time before this problem is eliminated, too.
