If you're someone who likes to have (or has a real need for) multiple application windows open on their computer at a time, then you need LOTS of screen space. Many folks are now choosing LCD flat panel monitors with diagonal measurements of 20-inches or more. Prices have dropped to where they're not that expensive and you have the option of going with either standard "aspect ratios" or "widescreen" models (great for watching high-def "letterbox" video). Maybe even mix a big screen with a smaller one (if you have a dual-monitor video card).
We've found the newer widescreen screens of 20" and up are perfect for online poker players or for keeping an eye on stock prices while you work.
